To Chile

We write this while already having returned from this simply spectacular trip. This was not our plan. We set off to write our blog as we were roaming the country, adding to the site our experiences as we went along. However, traveling is exhilarating but often times also depleting of your reserves. So more often than not, at the end of the day we would rather dine, wine and relax, rather than wrestle a mildly interesting text into our computers in order to then prod the often unwilling Wifi into distribution to the world. Or at least our website.

We felt that we needed more time and focus to set down the experiences we had into words that would al least come to some proximity of what we actually saw, did, heard, tasted and smelled. I can tell you that even now, they will not. Even the photographs will not quite reveal the grandeur and immense beauty that is Patagonia. And if this sounds a little hyperbolic, I can assure you, again, it is not.

Happily so, because our wish is to wet your appetite and coerce you into making the dive into the beauty of Chile yourself. Perhaps we can provide you with some tips and nudge you in the direction of some of the more memorable places that this part of country has to offer.

Naturally, this is not a guide. We can only confer here only what we have experienced ourselves.
